Feedback Session
Empowerment and Fate Control
Enabling gender equality by empowering all genders to effectively participate in modern society is one of the most important advances towards global sustainable development. Despite the importance of the topic, there is a significant gap in information about the current state and trends of gender empowerment in the Arctic.
This panel is aimed at contributing to understanding of gender equality issues in the Arctic at the national, regional, and local levels, to identify concrete strategies for gender political, economic, and civic empowerment, and thereby facilitating sustainable policymaking for the Arctic.
